British Tales
Iconic British fragrance brand Penhaligon’s were launching their first Chinese store in 2022. The brand story centred around following the brand’s mercurial founder William Penhaligon through a series of stories about the ’British Tales’ scents. Each each fragrance had it’s own historical story to tell that were associated with different periods of history.From the Roaring 1920’s all the way back to 483BC, and showed William meandering through 11 different historical periods on his magical Penny Farthing.
A suite of visually rich, quirky assets were created to capture the brand’s quirky, eccentric personality in both in-store and online channels from long and short form animations to alluring Point of Sale graphics.
The stories were composed in a 3d phototography collage. In different fun animated versions of A lot fun and sore hands were to be had cutting out to create the different compositions around the real perfume bottles and boxes. The 3d collages were then photographed to create lots of different assets for their various channels.
